1. Cultivation Medium Ingredients and Formula

Formula 1: 20% cottonseed hulls, 21% corn cobs, 18% sawdust, 10% bagasse, 20% bran, 3% corn flour, 5% soybean meal, 2% light calcium carbonate, 1% calcium hydroxide.

Formula 2: 25% cottonseed hulls, 19% corn cobs, 25% sawdust, 18% bran, 5% corn flour, 5% soybean meal, 2% light calcium carbonate, 1% calcium hydroxide.

2. Mixing

Accurately weigh the medium according to the formula and place in a blender. Generally, dry mix for 15 minutes to thoroughly mix. Then, add water evenly according to the desired moisture content until thoroughly wet. Wet mix again for 45-60 minutes before bagging. Before bagging, test the medium parameters; typically, a moisture content of 62%-64% and a pH of 9-10 are required. 3. Bagging and Shelving

The bagging machine automatically completes the steps of bagging, filling, punching, putting on rings, capping, and basketing. Each 12-bag unit is placed in a plastic basket and then transported to the shelving machine via an assembly line. During bagging, ensure that the culture medium is appropriately tight and the holes are intact. Pleurotus geesteranus culture medium is relatively loose and breathable, but has low adhesion, making it prone to clogging. Therefore, a dedicated person must be assigned to sort out defective bags before shelving.

3. Sterilization, Cooling, and Inoculation

Sterilization:Pleurotus geesteranus is cultivated using autoclaves. For autoclave sterilization parameters and precautions, please refer to the section on the Mushroom Bag (Stick) Supply Center.

Cooling:

After sterilization, remove the bags from the autoclave at 80-90°C and move them to a high-purity cleanroom. Forced cooling is used to rapidly reduce the culture medium temperature.

Inoculation: Pleurotus geesteranus uses a liquid culture medium, 5 days old, with a mycelium concentration of 0.8%-1.2%. Inoculation is performed on an assembly line using FFU (Fulfilling Units) (FFU) at a volume of 20-25 ml.
