Sterilization means that after killing, the survival probability of all microorganisms attached to the inside and outside of the cultivation matrix particles is reduced to 10^-6.

Disinfection means killing all microorganisms attached to the surface of the carrier, and the survival probability is reduced to 10^-3.

A large number of microorganisms must be attached to the scraps after agricultural and sideline product processing. Through physical high pressure and high temperature methods, the respiratory enzymes of microorganisms attached to the inside and outside of the cultivation material are denatured and killed.

Sterilization is divided into: normal pressure sterilization and high pressure sterilization

Sterilization principle

Whether it is normal pressure or high pressure, or vacuum autoclave, steam sterilization is used, the only difference is the pressure. The principle is: saturated steam has strong penetration. When steam contacts the sterilized items, it will release a lot of latent heat. Under the action of steam heat, the hydrogen bonds in the molecules of the bacterial proteins in the culture medium are broken, resulting in bacterial death.

The evolution of normal pressure and high pressure sterilizers

Chinese edible fungi have evolved from simple earth stove normal pressure sterilization to steam-supplied Mongolian yurt sterilizers, round single-door straight-cylinder high pressure sterilizers, and then horizontal single-door sterilizers. The pulsating double-door vacuum culture medium sterilizer developed later became the leader in domestic sterilizer production.
