Solid strains have a relatively simple seed production process and relatively simple
seed production equipment, but their culture cycle is long, the mycelium biomass is small,
and the germination synchronization is poor. Therefore, facility-based and factory-based
production enterprises have begun to study and promote the liquid strain model.
Liquid strains have consistent age, large biomass, many germination points, and fast
germination speed, which solves the synchronization problem of large-scale production;
the umbrella-shaped spray inoculation method shortens the time and culture cycle of the
cultivation bottle or bag surface, reduces the contamination rate of the bacteria bag,
and improves the warehouse turnover rate; the production process of liquid strains is simplified,
the labor intensity is reduced, and labor costs can be saved; the liquid strain production process
is easy to monitor, and standardized production can be carried out to ensure the purity and
vitality of the strains.
With the continuous improvement of the facility and factory level of edible fungi,
especially the mature application of high-efficiency air purification systems, more and more
species can stably use the liquid strain production model, including enoki mushrooms,
king oyster mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, pleurotus ostreatus, velvet mushrooms, black fungus, etc.
The liquid strain production modes include Korean fermentation tank mode (mobile tank),
Chinese fermentation tank mode (fixed tank), solid strain to liquid strain mode, reduced strain mode
and continuous fermentation tank production mode (large and small tanks).
