Production Process: 

Regardless of the spawn level, the production process is largely the same, including three main steps:

culture medium preparation, inoculation, and cultivation. Potato dextrose agar medium → Dispensing into test tubes → Sterilization at 121℃


① Mother Spawn Production Process: 0.5h → Slant culture medium → Inoculation and cultivation.

② Primary Spawn Production Process: Primary spawn medium → Bottled → Sterilization at 126℃ for 1h → Inoculation and cultivation.

③ Cultivation Spawn Production Process: Cultivation spawn medium → Bottled or bagged → Sterilization at 126℃ for 1h → Inoculation and cultivation.


Production Plan:


The spawn production season should be determined based on the local suitable time for oyster mushroom cultivation. 

Under normal environmental conditions, cultivation spawn should generally be produced 30-40 days before the start of 

cultivation, primary spawn 30-40 days before that, and mother spawn purchased or produced 15-20 days before primary 

spawn production. The timing of spawn production is crucial and must be strictly adhered to.


Taking early September sowing as an example, the spawn production plan is as follows: Mother spawn production in early June 

→ Primary spawn production begins in early July → Cultivation spawn production begins in early August → Cultivation spawn is

 ready in early September → Sowing in early September.


The quantity of spawn produced should also be carefully planned, depending on the number of oyster mushrooms to be cultivated.

 Generally, the quantities of mother spawn, primary spawn, and cultivation spawn are calculated according to the following ratio: 

1 mother spawn → 5 bottles of primary spawn → 100 bags of cultivation spawn → 1000 cultivation bags. In production, a slightly

 larger quantity of mother spawn, primary spawn, and cultivation spawn should be produced to allow for production leeway.
