2. Cultivation Method
Enoki mushroom cultivation can be done in bottles or plastic bags, depending on the container used. Plastic bag cultivation
requires less investment, is widely applicable, and facilitates start-up. Bottle cultivation requires more investment and is
more suitable for industrial production.
3. Schedule
Enoki mushrooms are low-temperature fruiting mushrooms.
Natural cultivation primarily considers whether the temperature is suitable for fruiting. In northern regions, low temperatures
persist for extended periods. Therefore, under natural temperature conditions, bagging is generally done in September, and
fruiting occurs from late October to the following April. Factory production is not restricted by seasons and can be produced
year-round. The entire production process of factory-made bag-cut Enoki mushrooms in China takes 65 to 70 days (depending
on the strain and temperature control during development), while the factory-made bottle-cutting cycle takes 55 to 60 days
(depending on the strain and temperature control during development). Only one batch of mushrooms is harvested, and
production can be carried out year-round.
