A Case Study of a Large-Scale Enoki Mushroom Cultivation Plant (10,000 Bottles/Day)

Raw and Auxiliary Material Storage Area: At least 200㎡, with concrete flooring, road 

access for large trucks, storing 20+ days of production materials.


Culture Medium Preparation Workshop: Minimum 200㎡, with pre-wetting room, large mixer, 

bagging machine. Filled bottles are stacked on turntables and pushed into autoclaves.


Culture Medium Sterilization Room: Around 100㎡, with 2 large autoclaves (5,000 bottles each). 

Uses double-door autoclaves; post-sterilization bottles are moved via rear door to a sealed cooling chamber.


Cooling Room: 100㎡, with smooth floors/walls, regular cleaning/disinfection, and air purifiers

 (Class 10,000 cleanliness). Equipped with internal-circulation refrigeration, 2-3 high-power ACs for rapid cooling, 

and filtered air to maintain positive pressure.


Inoculation Room: Adjacent to cooling room, with 18-20°C air conditioning, easy-to-clean flooring 

(e.g., epoxy resin). Maintains positive pressure with filtered fresh air (Class 10,000 cleanliness; 

Class 100 in inoculation machine area). Equipped with UV lamps/ozone generators; tools disinfected 

with 75% alcohol or flame.


Seed Culture Room: Adjacent to inoculation room, 48㎡ (6m×8m) with 4.2m height, holding ~10,000 

bottles. Features 4 seven-tiered racks (2 small, 2 large) with 75cm walkways and 40cm rack spacing. 

Equipped with refrigeration, ventilation, lighting, and exhaust systems.


Bud Initiation and Mushroom Cultivation Rooms: Near seed culture room, divided into sections with 

5-15°C adjustable temperature. Each 48㎡ room holds ~10,000 bottles on shelves, with refrigeration, 

ventilation, lighting, and exhaust systems. Adjacent to packaging and cold storage rooms.
