Harvesting
27-30 days after opening the bag, when the stems reach 16-18 cm in height and the caps have expanded but not yet opened, they can be transported to the harvesting process via the conveyor system. Hold the mushroom stems firmly with both hands and gently shake to remove them. Place the mushrooms with the caps facing the basket wall to avoid damaging the caps. After harvesting, the roots should be cut, graded, and packed promptly. For dried mushrooms, the roots should be cut, trayed, and transferred to the drying oven immediately after harvesting at the picking table.
Grading and Packaging
After cutting and grading, the deer antler mushrooms are packaged in different sizes according to market demand, including large packages (25 kg/box) and small packages (250 g/box, 400 g/bag). After packaging, they are stored in cold storage and then transported to markets or supermarkets via the cold chain. Due to market saturation and the short shelf life of fresh mushrooms, companies have flexibly adjusted the packaging specifications of fresh and dried mushrooms, with dried mushrooms primarily priced at 5 kg/box.
